Hot Backup Server
We are aware that over the last few months our datacenter has suffered a few periods of downtime. Despite our hosting provider having multiple levels of redundancy built into their infrastructure, there were still some scenarios that left them exposed to downtime. These were mainly around power supply to the datacenter itself.
In response to this, we're very excited to announce the introduction of our new 'hot backup' server. This is a totally separate web server in a different datacenter in a different country (Japan) to our primary server.
This means that if our primary server does suffer a serious outage we can re-route all traffic to our backup server within around 30 minutes.
